What does the neighbourhood mean to you?
I’ve been working at the Aktienmühle for almost 10 years now, and the neighbourhood, with its sleepy wildness, has grown dear to my heart. The hustle and bustle of the city doesn’t seem to have reached us here yet. I also really enjoy my walk to work along the Wiese river.
What talent would you like to have?
I’d love to be able to balance things on my head. And really well at that! I’m so often short of a hand. With my children, I’m always carrying sooo much around, and then there’s the shopping, something for the studio, or tired little legs to deal with as well …!
What does a fulfilling day look like to you?
The sun is shining, I can enjoy my coffee in peace, and I have no obligations. Then I see what the day brings. Perhaps I’ll go to the studio to work on my own projects. In the afternoon, I take the children to the woods to our forest hut, where we’ll make campfire bread over the flames. Afterwards, I’ll have a cosy evening with my husband.
In your opinion, what is of great importance for the quality of life in a city?
Green spaces and play areas for children. Places where you can simply be together and don’t have to do anything. And, of course, affordable housing.
